Losing Lauren Bacall last year was possibly one of the greatest losses in 2014. Her beauty, kindness, style and intelligence are greatly remembered, and her talent will continue to show in her films. The first film I saw her in was "How To Marry a Millionaire" which will always be one of my top ten favourite films. Her performance, grace, and her bad-ass-ness blew me away. I wish I could have her face permanently printed on my eyeballs to remind me "do the best you can do, and keep that resting bitch face on lock".
Lauren was confident and elegant, practically embodying effortless glamour. Along with looking fabulous in dresses and gowns, Lauren was an avid wearer of coveralls, jumpsuits, and high-waisted, wide-legged pants, which inspired my last outfit post. I hope to one day accomplish wonderful pin-curled hair, while wearing a pant suit, with a papillon, perhaps named Sophie, much like Lauren did.
