Welcome to Friday Favourites! I'm going to post five items that I currently love every couple Fridays or a Friday a month, depending on how busy I am with the upcoming semester. This edition of Friday Favourites includes some items with a "holiday" vibe. Lots of plaid, liqueur, and holiday themed bath products! I start university in a month, so hopefully I can keep up with blog posts. We will see!
Saturday Night Pinup Dress in Black Tartan Plaid available in store at Drunken Sailor, or online at Bernie Dexter (image courtesy of Modcloth) - $156
Chambord black raspberry liqueur (recipes and information available online at Chambord) - around $24
Based on my last outfit post, you can probably already tell that I love this dress. I love this dress. It's definitely one of my favourite dresses for the holidays, as well as one of my favourite dresses by Bernie Dexter.
Chambord is my latest love, which I found accidentally, but had to try solely because of the gorgeous design of the bottle. It turns out that Chambord is an amazing black raspberry liqueur. The liqueur is said to have been introduced by Louis XIV during one of his visits to the Chateau de Chambord, during the late 17th century. During that time liqueurs and cognac were to be consumed with elegant meals (remember that for your next elegant dinner party). So far I have tried it with Coca Cola and Dr. Pepper, and both tasted delicious. Their website is also fantastic, and has a bunch of recipes.
Pom-Pom Aplomb Heel available online at Modcloth - $69.99
As soon as I saw these shoes, my jaw dropped and I knew I had to have them in my life (oops for spending money on myself before Christmas, but could you blame me?). Boudoir slippers with pom-poms are my obsession. I have always wanted a vintage pair, but these definitely take the cake. These have to be my favourite shoe. I feel so glamorous wearing them!
If you haven't tried any Lush products, you definitely need to. Recently, I have switched all of my make up and hygiene products to cruelty-free and vegetarian products, and my life has been changed for the better. Not only do I feel better about where my products are coming from, but I've noticed a huge difference in the product of quality as well. Lush is one of my favourite companies in the universe, and has amazing products that also happen to smell amazing and look adorable. My favourites from them are their bath melts and bath bombs. For this edition of Friday Favourites, I would like to feature The Christmas Hedgehog bubble bar and the Father Christmas bath bomb from Lush's holiday collection. I went on a Lush binge and bought a ton of products from their holiday collection, and so far, these are two of my favourites. Both were moisturizing and smelled delicious. The Christmas Hedgehog left me feeling incredibly calm and sent me to straight to bed, smelling amazing, and Father Christmas produced an amazing scent and colour.
I'm sure that plenty of you have seen the newest video from Kate Spade, 'The Waiting Game', starring Anna Kendrick, but this is definitely one of my favourites. I've been watching it on repeat all week. I just dream that one day I can look this glamorous, locked out of my apartment. Thank you for filling my life with joy, Kate Spade.
