Spring is here, and Spring calls for pastels, and if those pastels happen to come in a 1950's plaid matching top, skirt, and short (not pictured) set, then what else does a person need? This season (and every season) I am all about matching sets.
I'm turning twenty today and it's been a pretty fantastic week other than my beloved Prince dying. First of all, I got to wear this outfit, Beyonce's Lemonade came out, the weather has been lovely, I've had time to blog, and I get to spend time with my family and friends. This pastel plaid set is definitely the icing on the cake (haha, birthday cake), but so is Lemonade.
There was a time in my life where I was very against looking too "matchy-matchy" but I am truly trying to embrace it. A matching top and skirt adds another element to an outfit that a dress does not have. A stop at my favourite vintage shop in Calgary, A Vintage Affair, had me falling in love with this pastel dream in my size, in great condition, and at an affordable price.
My early birthday present from my beau this year had my absolutely smitten. My first pair of Miss L Fire shoes, The Loretta, are to die for. I wish I could reach through the screen and make each of you try on these fantastically adorable and comfortable 1940's inspired heels. I've been needing a plain black pair of heels and these were the perfect match, and the fact that they make my legs look amazing is an added bonus. I can't wait to buy Miss L Fire's Alberta wedges next.
