If there's one colour I have, along with so many others, always dreaded to wear, it's the colour yellow. While working in retail, I've heard so many different complaints about yellow, with the most popular complaints being, "yellow washes me out", or "yellow makes me look like a corpse". Every time I have heard someone's distaste for the colour yellow, I have always related ever so deeply because I am pale and have dark hair, and have always been told that yellow washes out someone with those features. I have totally been the one to say, "I totally understand, let's find you something else"! Along the way, I have learned that almost anyone with any features also runs away from yellow clothing. Recently, I began wondering if I (or the entire population) was crazy for avoiding such a fun colour like it was the plague.
I've finally given into yellow and it feels so good. So here's to my first yellow piece of clothing (and certainly not my last)! Even if it does wash me out, yellow is a warm and happy colour, perfect for spring and summer, and just so happens to make me feel hella positive. Of course, I am not ready to embrace highlighter yellow (I don't think I ever should be), but buttery pale yellows and mustard yellows are gorgeous, whether in decor, paint colours, or clothing and accesories.
Besides being newly infatuated with the colour yellow, I am also forever infatuated with novelty wicker bags, especially when it's a dalmatian shaped wicker bag by Kate Spade. My dalmatian is obviously quite ridiculous, which only makes me love it even more, and want a thousand more dog purses.
